The Seahawks have signed former Western Washington University defensive end Matt Overton as a long snapper.
"Congratulations to DEC Management client & former UFL long-snapper Matt Overton who officially signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
Overton isn't brand new to the Seahawks. He was in training camp before the 2007 season but was released. Since then Overton played as long snapper in the Indoor Football League with the Tri-Cities Fever and 2008 FWFA West Coast National Champion Whatcom County Raiders Last season he played with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League.
